§ Q19. Mr. Rankinasked the Prime Minister if he has studied the recent report of the Estimates Committee in which the procedure of appointing a Parliamentary Commissioner before legislation enabling the appointment to be made has been passed is criticized; and what reply the Government propose to make in their observations on the report.
§ The Prime MinisterDepartmental observations on the Report were sent to the Committee on 20th January. It will be for the Committee to decide when to lay them before the House.
