HC Deb 25 January 1967 vol 739 c309W
Sir K. Joseph

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government how many families in the old London County Council area were taken into welfare accommodation in the calendar years 1964, 1965 and 1966, respectively; and what has been the average monthly rate since the Rent Act, 1965, came into operation.

Mr. K. Robinson

I have been asked to reply.

The numbers of families admitted to temporary accommodation in the London County Council area, later the Inner London Borough areas, in the calendar years 1964, 1965 and 1966, were respectively 2,086, 1,338 and 1,411. The average number admitted monthly since 1st December, 1965, is 117.
