asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs who will represent his Department in the conversations in South Africa to renegotiate the Simonstown Agreement.

In the talks now taking place in Cape Town with the South African Government on certain aspects of the Simonstown Agreement in the light of the projected withdrawal of the Commander-in-Chief South Atlantic, the British Government is represented by the British Ambassador, Sir John Nicholls, assisted by the Vice Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral S[...] John Bush, the Commander-in-Chief South Atlantic and South America and officials from the Foreign Office and Ministry of Defence.
