§ 85. Mr. Parkinasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will give instructions that no further estimates of starts and completions by London housing authorities are to be issued under the authority of his Department until he has investigated their credibility.
§ Mr. MellishNo. I am not aware of any London housing authority which has made unrealistic estimates of starts and completions. In accordance with the advice given in Circular 1/67 officers of this Department will be available to help all authorities meet their targets and progress schemes through all their stages—from land acquisition through pre-contract planning to starts and completion dates.
