§ Mr. Varleyasked the President of the Board of Trade what discussions he intends to have with the Chairman of the National Coal Board regarding the location and phasing of pit closures so as to enable him to provide alternative industry in the areas where a further 120 pits are to close by 1970.
§ Mr. JayThe fullest co-operation already exists between the Departments concerned and with the National Coal Board to ensure discussion on the issues arising from colliery closures.
