asked the President of the Board of Trade when the investigation of the affairs of the London and Cheshire Insurance Company Limited was authorised; when the investigation was begun; Whether a report has yet been received; and whether this report will be made public.

On 7th October, 1966, the Board of Trade appointed Mr. J. G. Wilmers, Q.C., and Mr. G. F. Ansell, chartered accountant, as inspectors under Section 165(b) of the Companies Act, 1948, to investigate the affairs of the company. They have made good progress, but cannot yet indicate when they expect to make their report to the Board.

When it is received, a decision will be made about its publication.
