§ Viscount Lambtonasked the Minister of Health what action is taken by his officials when they discover a case of an infectious disease; and how long is the usual period of isolation if the nature of the disease is unknown.
§ Mr. K. RobinsonIt is no function of my officials to discover cases of infectious disease, though their advice and assistance are often sought. For a patient with an undiagnosed disease the question whether there is a need for isolation and that of its duration are matters for the professional judgment of the doctor in charge of that patient.
