asked the Minister of Technology what discussions he intends to have with other European countries with a view to improved co-operation in technological advance and research.

I have had a number of such discussions most recently when I visited West Germany last week for talks with the German Federal Minister for Scientific Research.

I am now considering plans for visits to other European countries. Co-operation is developing well.
