§ Mr. George ThomsonThe Secretary-General of the United Nations has formally communicated to us the text of the Resolution on Oman and in replying to his letter we have explained that Oman is part of an independent sovereign State, and that the Resolution which relates solely to matters within its domestic jurisdiction does not conform with the principles of the Charter.
