§ Mr. Ridleyasked the Minister of Labour following Mr. Scamp's Report of 10th November 1966 on the motor industry, what is Her Majesty's Government's policy with regard to legislation for power to impose sanctions against indiscipline to be vested in authorities outside or independent of the motor car industry.
§ Mr. GunterThe Government propose to await the report of the Royal Commission on Trade Unions before taking any decision on the general question of legislative sanctions. Meantime I have urged both sides of the industry to consider what can be done to improve the position.
