§ Mr. Roy JenkinsThe committal area of Whatton Senior Dentention Centre (opened last October) was planned so as to give some relief to the North West: I hope to give further relief when the second unit at Whatton is opened later this year. Possible sites in Lancashire for an additional centre (already included in the prison building programme) are being evaluated.
