Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Minister of Technology if he will state the nature, number, design and purpose of the prototype fast-breeder reactors made at or under the auspices or authority of Dounreay Experimental Station and the manner in which they will benefit British production, exports and defence.
§ Mr. BennThe A.E.A.'s experimental fast reactor at Dounreay has paved the way for the 250 MW (electricity) prototype fast reactor, now under construction there. The latter is confidentally expected240W to demonstrate the advantages of fast breeder reactors for commercial power production at home and overseas.
