Gentleman will recall that last year, even before Confrontation had ended, Her Majesty's Government gave Indonesia a grant of £1 million to help the new government deal with their immediate economic problems. It is only our own present economic situation which prevents us from offering further help. Relations between the two countries steadily improve and we look forward confidently to the resumption of mutually beneficial trade and business with Indonesia.
