HC Deb 20 February 1967 vol 741 c198W
Mr. Gwynfor Evans

asked the Minister of Labour what number of men there were in employment in June 1963, 1964, 1965 and 1966, and for the last date for which the figures are available in Wales and Scotland, respectively.

Mr. Fernyhough

Employment estimates for men, as opposed to males, are only available for Great Britain as a whole.

It is estimated that in June, 1966. the latest date for which information is available, the numbers of male employees in employment in Wales and Scotland were 664,000 and 1,332,000 respectively. Information for the earlier years was given on 10th February in my written reply to an earlier Question by the hon. Member.—[Vol. 740, c. 379–80.]
