§ Mr. Edward ShortThe B.B.C. expect to have the new popular music programme on the air by the late summer or early autumn. Its purpose will be to widen the listener's choice of programmes by serving the audiences for popular music of all kinds. The B.B.C. estimate that the additional cost of running this programme will be about £200,000 a year.
