HC Deb 15 February 1967 vol 741 cc112-3W
Mr. Edward M. Taylor

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what payments are made in the event of redundancy to workers in the non-established grades in his Department, in particular employees in Her Majesty's Dockyards, who have been employed continuously for more than two but less than five years; how these payments compare with those available under the Redundancy Payments Act; and whether he will alter the regulations relating to redundancy payments for non-established industrial civil servants to ensure that such employees are at least as favourably treated as those in outside industry covered by the provisions of the Redundancy Payments Act.

Mr. Reynolds

Redundant civil servants are already treated no less favourably than they would be under the Redundancy Payments Act.
