HC Deb 14 February 1967 vol 741 cc61-2W
Sir W. Bromley-Davenport

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will give a list of what veterinary services are eligible for refunds under the Selective Employment Payments Act; which veterinary services have so far been refused such refunds; and what claims for such refunds are still under consideration.

Mr. John Mackie

In general veterinary services are not regarded as eligible for refund under the Selective Employment Payments Act, but a firm which offers farmers a service on a contract basis for the vaccination, de-beaking and caponisation of poultry, has been held to be eligible as an agricultural contractor.

I regret that the information requested in the second part of the Question is not readily available.
