Mr. Gwynfor Evans

asked the Minister of Labour (1) if he will give the number of persons actually in employment in June and December for each of the years 1956 to 1966 in Wales, Scotland and England, respectively;

(2) if he will give the number of men in employment in June and December for each of the years 1956 to 1966 in Wales, Scotland and England, respectively.

As explained in the July, 1966, issue of the Ministry of Labour Gazette, the estimates for 1964 and later years are not completely comparable with those for earlier years, because the method of estimation has been changed.
