HC Deb 09 February 1967 vol 740 c346W
46. Mr. Frank Hooley

asked the Postmaster-General if he will investigate the means whereby documents purporting to emanate from the Prime Minister's Office, Salisbury, are distributed by the Post Office in the United Kingdom; and if he will take steps to interrupt all postal and telegraphic communications between the United Kingdom and the illegal regimé in Rhodesia.

Mr. Edward Short

There is no censorship in this country of mail from Rhodesia and so any documents of the nature referred to by my hon. Friend which arrived here by post would be delivered in the normal way. It is the view of Her Majesty's Government that the public interest is at present best served by the continued exchange of mail and telegraph services with Rhodesia.
