HC Deb 09 February 1967 vol 740 c353W
Mr. Powell

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why a letter written on 27th January by a prisoner at Blundeston to the right hon. Member for Wolverhampton, South-West, was not delivered to him before 6th February, contrary to the Secretary of State's assurance in his letter of 20th January.

Mr. Roy Jenkins

There were two weekends in the period referred to. The letter concerned was received by the Home Office on 31st January and posted, following consideration, to the right hon. Member on 3rd February.
