HC Deb 09 February 1967 vol 740 c370W
Mr. Mitchell

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he is aware of the action of Lymington Borough Council in granting planning permission to R. E. Powell and Partners to build five houses on a site at New Milton, on which a Mr. Charles Buchanan had previously been refused permission to build three houses; if he will call in the plans relating to this case; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. MacColl

Since planning permission for five houses has already been given, there is no power to call in the application. This is a local matter within the authority of the Lymington Borough Council who have delegated planning powers and I understand that they have explained their decision to the local Press.
