HC Deb 09 February 1967 vol 740 c367W
Mr. Whitaker

asked the Attorney-General whether, in view of the dissatisfaction with the present administration of the Council of Legal Education, he will introduce legislation to provide for it to be administered by professional teachers.

The Attorney-General

I do not think that this is an appropriate subject for legislation. Legal education for entrants to the Bar now comes within the province of the newly formed Senate of the four Inns of Court and the Bar Council, which is giving it active consideration.
