§ Mr. BoydenMost of the entrants to Welbeck are intended for commissions in the Royal Corps of Signals, Ordnance or Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, and this is made known to all who apply for a place in the College. A first choice for these Corps is normally accepted if the candidate is qualified. There are in addition about 12 vacancies a year in certain other arms for which there are usually 20 or 30 applications.
