Mr. Geoffrey Lloydasked the President of the Board of Trade whether the standstill Order on laundering and cleaning charges, S.I., 1966, No. 1321, applies to a company which buys a business which, before the Order, was charging prices considered to be unremunerative and wishes to raise those prices to a remunerative level.
§ Mr. DarlingThe Order applies if the takeover took place before the Order came into operation and if the acquiring company was itself charging the lower prices in respect of the acquired business during the four weeks preceding the Order.
