asked the Attorney General what organisations have been consulted by the Law Commission's special committee on personal damages in connection with the proposal that widows suing for damages for the loss of their husbands should be subjected to medical examination.

The Attorney-General

Paragraph 10 of the First Working Paper of Lord Justice Winn's Committee, which is considering the jurisdiction and procedure of the courts in actions for personal injuries, raised the question whether there was any justification for requiring widows to be medically examined. This Paper was circulated for comment to the following non-governmental organisations:— The Association of British Chambers of Commerce. The Association of County Court Registrars.
