§ Mr. Winnickasked the Minister of Labour what discussions he has had with the Confederation of British Industry and the Trades Union Congress regarding a clause to be inserted into Government contracts that would forbid any form of discrimination on grounds of colour and race; and what has been the outcome of these discussions.
§ Mr. FernyhoughThis question was discussed at a meeting of the National Joint Advisory Council on 26th October, 1966. At the following meeting on 25th January, 1967, the three sides put forward212W a joint statement of their views on the best means of promoting racial integration in employment. My right hon. Friend hopes to discuss this with them in the near future.
