HC Deb 02 February 1967 vol 740 c148W
45. Mr. David Howell

asked the First Secretary of State and Secretary of State for Economic Affairs when he plans to hold a further Conference on Productivity; what positive gains have flowed from the last such conference; and to what extent they justify another one.

Mr. Harold Lever

With the agreement of the National Economic Development Council, the Prime Minister plans to hold a further National Productivity Conference in about four months' time. The Conference last September has already had useful results in relation to investment incentives and by stimulating intensive study and action on productivity comparisons, advisory services to industry and labour utilisation.
