HC Deb 21 December 1967 vol 756 c501W
Viscount Lambton

asked the Minister of Health to what extent meat imported from abroad became unfit for human consumption during the recent dock strike in all ports excepting London; and where and how it was disposed of.

Mr. K. Robinson:

I understand that no meat directly imported at Manchester, Liverpool or Hull, the other ports affected by the strike, became unfit because of it. Since my reply to the noble Lord on 18th December I have learned that certain cargoes were diverted from affected ports: I am making further enquiries about these and will write to the noble Lord.—[Vol. 756, c.287.]
