§ 46. Mr. Braineasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will make a statement about the discussions which the Government has had with representatives from the conference of developing countries held in Algeria in preparation for the next meeting of the United Nations Commission for Trade and Development.
§ Mrs. Gwyneth Dunwoody:The Government were glad to welcome a Goodwill Mission of representatives from developing countries, led by Mr. Jayarwardene, Minister of State, Ceylon, to this country from 14th to 20th November. The purpose of the Mission was to present and explain the "Charter of Algiers", which sets out the views of the developing countries on the issues to be discussed next year at the Second United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.
