Mr. Palmer

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will give details of the cuts in the investment programmes of the nationalised industries which were announced on 20th November.

*The B.S.C. has only recently taken over the private companies and is in the course of producing an integrated programme; but it is intended to defer projects which would otherwise have gone ahead in 1968–69 to a total of about £10 million, the precise details of which will be settled with the B.S.C. when their investment programme is submitted to the Ministry of Power.
