HC Deb 21 December 1967 vol 756 cc498-9W
Mr. Chichester-Clark

asked the Minister of Health what proportion of the hospital building programme was carried out by industrialised building methods in 1965–66 and 1966–67.

Mr. K. Robinson:

All building in the hospital programme today uses these methods to varying degrees. It is estimated that about 11 per cent. of expenditure on hospital projects in 1965–66 and 16 per cent. in 1966–67 related to fully industrialised buildings built and fitted out with prefabricated components according to an assembly system, or to industrialised components in other buildings. The proportion continues to increase.
