§ Mr. McGuireasked the Minister of Power what estimates he has made of the additional coal that may be used by gas boards to help the coal industry up to 1970–71.
§ Mr. Marsh:I cannot give firm estimates but the figure of 300,000 tons my hon. Friend referred to in the House on 5th December represents the amount of assistance that might be given in 1967–68, excluding the substantial tonnage used to replace naphtha, supplies of which were interrupted by the Middle East war.
