HC Deb 21 December 1967 vol 756 c516W
Mr. Dalyell

asked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the representations Her Majesty's Government have made to the Government of Brunei on the question of detainees.

Mr. George Thomas:

Communications between Her Majesty's Government and the Government of Brunei are confidential. However, my hon. Friend may like to know that of the 1,639 people arrested during the Brunei revolt and Confrontation with Indonesia only 52 remain in detention.
