HC Deb 21 December 1967 vol 756 cc489-90W
49. Mr. Onslow

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what representations he has received as a result of his decision to allocate 50 acres of land at the Street, Ash, Surrey, for residential purposes; and why he has refused to meet a deputation from the local authorities concerned.

Mr. MacDermot:

Representations were received from Surrey County Council who were supported by Guildford Rural District Council and Ash Parish Council. Two appeals have been made against refusal of planning permission to develop this land, and my right hon. Friend has not yet made any decision upon them. It would be inappropriate to meet any of the parties before these appeals have been resolved.
