Lord Hamiltonasked the Minister of Transport, in view of her policy that implementation of the enabling legislation on drivers' hours is to depend on increased productivity on both sides of the transport industry, how she proposes to achieve this; and how long she estimates this process will take.
§ Mr. John Morris:The date for introducing these requirements will be a matter for discussion with representatives of employers and workers, taking into account all the factors involved. We are hoping for rapid progress.
