§ Mr. Bishopasked the President of the Board of Trade if he will take steps to prevent rises in export prices which would lose the advantage of devaluation.
§ Mrs. Gwyneth Dunwoody:Export prices are essentially a matter for the commercial judgment of exporters. They will wish in their own, and the country's interest, to secure the largest earnings from sales abroad consistent with building up their volume of sales in relation to their capacity to supply and deliver goods as well as to their competitive position, their goodwill and other relevant factors in overseas markets.
