asked Her Majesty's Government:

When they propose to ratify the European Code of Social Security, signed at Strasbourg on April 16, 1964, and, if legislation by Parliament is necessary in order to enable such ratification, when it is proposed to introduce such legislation.

LORD CHALFONT

No legislation was necessary. The instrument ratifying this Code on behalf of Her Majesty's Government has been signed and will shortly be lodged with the Secretary-General of the Council of Europe.
