§ Mr. Priorasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will make a statement on the talks held with the Argentinian Government on the question of the Argentinian claim to the Falkland Islands, South Georgia and the Sandwich Islands; and whether he will reaffirm Her Majesty's Government's policy not to cede the sovereignty of these islands to Argentina.
§ Mr. Goronwy Roberts:My noble Friend Lord Caradon wrote on 14th December to the Secretary-General of the United Nations reporting on the Anglo-Argentine talks on the Falkland Islands. A copy of his letter will be placed in the Library of the House as soon as possible. There is nothing I can at present add to this letter.
