§ 75. Dir. David Kerrasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government 358W whether, in view of the expected inadequacy of water supplies in South-East England by 1980, he will establish a pilot plant in that area for the production of pure water from sea water.
§ Mr. Greenwood:The Water Resources Board have been examining the best ways of ensuring adequate water supplies for South-East England in the 1980's, but, desalination is not at present among the most economical ways.
