§ Sir J. Gilmourasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what increases have taken place in the price of imported plywood and board as a result of devaluation; and what effect he estimates this will have on the cost of house building in Scotland.
§ Mr. Ross:These materials account for only a small part of the cost of a house, and accordingly any increases in their price as a result of devaluation will have an insignificant effect on house-building costs.
