§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Economic Affairs how many investigations into wage and salary applications have been conducted by the National Board for Prices and Incomes 244W since its inception; and how many of these were concerned with company directors salaries and those in receipt of £2,000 or more per annum.
§ Mr. Frederick LeeThirty-six references (including standing references) wholly or partly concerned with specific wages, salaries and professional fees, have been made to the Board since it was set up in April, 1965. Reports have been published in respect of twenty-seven of these references. None of the references has been concerned with the salaries of company directors. Rather less than half have covered a number of persons in receipt of incomes above £2,000 per annum.
