HC Deb 14 December 1967 vol 756 cc207-8W
Mr. Silvester

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will list the local projects on curriculum development now in operation under the auspices of the Schools Council; and indicate how many of these are directly related to problems arising from the raising of the school-leaving age.

Miss Bacon:

The Schools Council is directly concerned with the following curriculum research and development projects which are listed briefly and without indication of scale. All involve active participation by local groups of teachers in various parts of England and Wales.

In addition, there are many local projects under the auspices of Local Education Authorities which may be partly inspired by the work of the Council. Reports of some of these which are partly concerned with the raising of the school-leaving age will be included in a series of Council publications in 1968 and 1969.
