HC Deb 14 December 1967 vol 756 c228W
Q16. Sir Knox Cunningham

asked the Prime Minister if he will approach Mr. Ian Smith and seek agreement in settling the outstanding differences between Rhodesia and the United Kingdom, seeking the good offices of the Prime Minister of South Africa to do so.

The Prime Minister:

I would refer the hon. Member to the Statement made in the House on 12th December by my right hon. Friend the Commonwealth Secretary, in which he made it clear that we are now awaiting Mr. Smith's response.—[Vol. 756, c. 211.]
