Mr. Roy Jenkins:

Information on Government borrowings and repayments from 1946 is available in published statistics of the balance of payments.

The dates of new foreign loans incurred by Her Majesty's Government and the value of foreign loans outstanding at 31st October, 1967 were given in an Answer by my hon. Friend, the Financial Secretary to a Question by the hon. Member for Louth (Sir C. Osborne) on 23rd November. The effects of devaluation on the amounts of loans and credit liabilities outstanding were given by my predecessor in an Answer to a Question from the hon. Member for Norfolk, South (Mr. J. E. B. Hill) on 27th November; there were no loan repayments during November.—[Vol. 754, c.415–6; Vol. 755, c. 22–4.]
