HC Deb 13 December 1967 vol 756 c172W
Mr. Crimond

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what steps he is taking to improve the position of the smaller egg producers.

Mr. Ross:

A reorganisation commission is presently conducting a comprehensive examination of the marketing arrangements for eggs. Its report, which will no doubt have regard to the position of all types of producer, is expected fairly early next year, and will be considered urgently by the Government.

We shall also be examining the egg situation, together with the position and prospects of other review products, in the course of the forthcoming Annual Review.
