§ Mr. CroslandThe employment exchange areas and groups in which, since the beginning of 1965, 55 firms have decided to set up factories in the Scottish coalfield are set out below. Forty of the factories have already commenced production, while the remaining schemes are at earlier stages. In view of the varying length of time which factories take to build up their full labour force it is not possible to say when the 55 schemes will be fully manned.
