HC Deb 12 December 1967 vol 756 c101W
Q11. Mr. Bob Brown

asked the Prime Minister whether he is satisfied that sufficient consultations take place between the National Coal Board, regional planning councils, the Board of Trade- and the Department of Economic Affairs, pending pit closures, in order that adequate preparation can be made for the provision of alternative employment for men not reabsorbed in coalmining; and if he will make a statement.

The Prime Minister

Yes. My hon. Friend will be aware of the announcement made on this question on 29th September, 1967. It is my belief that these arrangements are working effectively.
