HC Deb 11 December 1967 vol 756 c11W
70. Mr. Bob Brown

asked the Minister of Labour how many men will not be reabsorbed in other pits, following the closure of North Walbottle Colliery; and what consultations have taken place on the provision of alternative employment.

Mr. Fernyhough:

It is not yet known how many of the present labour force will have to seek work when North Walbottle Colliery closes. As regards the second part of the question, I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to him on 13th November by the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Trade. —[Vol. 754, c. 41.]
