§ 35. Mr. Dobsonasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what percentage increase in capital expendi- 358W ture on secondary education has been approved for this year compared with 1963–64.
§ Mr. Gordon WalkerA strict comparison cannot be made. A substantial part of the 1963–64 major programme was applied to the reorganisation of all-age schools. This straddled primary and secondary provision and separate information is not available. For primary and secondary schools taken together, the 1967–68 programme is 50 per cent. higher than 1963–64.
