§ Mr. Dickensasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will specify, in detail, the measures he proposes to reduce home demand by £150 million to £800 million additional to the £460 million itemised in the annex to the letter of intent sent by his predecessor to the International Monetary Fund on 23rd November, 1967.
§ Mr. Roy JenkinsIn addition to the measures specified in the Annex to the letter the rise in import prices consequent on devaluation will also contribute to the reduction in home demand. Further measures will he taken as necessary.
